Closing After 16 Years
In memory of our beloved founder, CEO and family head, Johnny Pertuit, an entrepreneur and WWII veteran. After working in the industry for many years, Johnny realized there was no heavy-duty clothing available for industrial workers. Thus began WeldWear® and the Lapco and Rasco protective clothing lines. Working with those two manufacturers, WeldWear® initiated revolutionary changes in the apparel for industry, which now are commonplace. He was a visionary and is sadly missed by business associates and family.
My father's one desire was to make good products for a fair price and provide welders with the types of materials they needed to do their jobs well. He started in the 1960's with a store front and finally, when retired, moved online in 1995. It is with our profound reqret that www.weldwear.com must go off line after 16 years of service. We want to take this opportunity to once again thank the faithful customers who stayed with us over the years and those who've just come to know us.

When you choose US PRIORITY MAIL that does not guarantee your order will arrive in 1-3 business days, even though it costs more. That is merely USPS estimate of the business days (not counting weekends or holidays required to travel. It does not guarantee immediate shipping or that your order will be in stock. All domestic orders giving a POST OFFICE BOX instead of a physical address, will be charged an additional surcharge of $1.50 plus the applicable postal service charges. Hint: On orders over 2 pounds, UPS ground is less expensive than priority mail and often arrives sooner. Please note that UPS will not deliver to a Post Office Box; you must give a physical address for UPS delivery. UPS delivers Monday through Friday. Hawaiian and International orders should select Priority Mail and Priority Mail International for the best rates. HOLIDAY OR SPECIAL OCCASION ORDERS, you may want to check first with us at 1-800-281-3355 to see if the selected items are in stock and the shipping time.
